It was a total team and committee effort in which last season saw La Salle Men’s team triumph 16 matches and 4 trophies unbeaten. The aim this year will be no different said head coach Ian Psaila, he continued by saying that a properly structured pre-season training programme can make all the difference and this will be evidenced at the latter stages of the season. Players are not only preparing physically but also mentally, team spirit never fails at La Salle.

In the last Saturday of national competitions, La Salle Handball Club were crowned knock-out winners in both men’s and women’s categories after beating eternal rivals Aloysians on both occasions. These victories mean that La Salle Handball Club have obtained their triple crown in both categories and have remained undefeated in the men’s category.

Desjardins signs for Czech top division club PDF Print E-mail

La Salle Handball Club yesterday announced that left back Stephanie Desjardins, 24, will spend next season 2012/13 on loan at Tjhazenajh in the Czech Republic. In April, Desjardins was invited for a trial with the Czech top division club. Last season Desjardins scored 59 goals in 9 appearances for La Salle to finish the campaign as the league’s leading scorer.

The Men’s National league came to a close last Saturday as La Salle ZT Developments held on to their 100% record following a convincing win over Kavallieri RS2, thus securing their fifth championship title following their success in the Super cup and MHA cup. The team, led by Coach Ian Psaila, has an impressive streak of 11 consecutive wins this season and are still unbeaten.
