Newly crowned champions La Salle AMC had to work hard till the end to maintain their series of victories, against a tenacious D6 squad. With a number of key players missing Alan Grima had little choice on whom to field for this match, with his team missing the services of Chris Mcclean and Ian Turban, whilst Andrew Said was rested in view of forthcoming matches. |

Uphill challenge ovecome by La Salle in dramatic finale
In a very entertaining match La Salle AMC grabbed a much needed victory against historic rivals Aloysians in the dying seconds of a dramatic finale. As expected the match started off on a highly balanced note, with both teams conceeding very little to one another, with a number of mistakes being made on either side during each team's offensive play. La Salle were fielding the usual 6:0 defence, whilst Aloysians were playing a 3:2:1 strategy with the hope of keeping La Salle's dangermen at bay. |
